    here's my take.

whether lucian gets on a plane or not is not really his of froch's decision. that decision rests on US tv revenues.

both boxers can sell out their respective arenas, i don't doubt that. plus, domestic tv, whether public or ppv will pay a handsome sum to televise.

the decision where this fight takes place rests ultimately with US tv. the license fee, if any, will differ greatly between montreal where it can be televised live and England where it would most likely be broadcast on delay. Hearn is in the unfortunate position of either hoping his arena will be full at 3 am England time and collecting US TV money, or budgeting delayed money. This situation affects his bid, but let's not neglect the elephant in the room....75-25 split of the purse bid in favor of bute no matte3r his decision.

froch is travelling to montreal if these two fight, no question in my mind. now the question remains if froch will decide to go another route.

this is not finished. not by a long shot

          Big whoop.

Julio Caesar Chavez could probably draw 30k Mexicans to a fight at Azteca Stadium again Jorge The Busboy, but he still fights in the US, and he is considered a joke by many.

Bute basically has a Chavez Jr resume. However, unlike Chavez he had a great amateur career and is well into his prime which makes him look like an even bigger joke for never leaving Canuckville and never fighting an opponent who moves his head away from a punch.

Bute is too slick for a tough but conventional fighter like Froch.

Bute handled Sakio Bika pretty easily a few years ago.

I would like to see a Bika-Froch eliminator with the winner fighting Bute.

Absolutely right. Bute is the champ. You want the title, go get it. If Froch had a title and Bute didn't, then I'd say Lucian needs to go there. If they were both champs, perhaps a neutral site would be best. Regardless, Froch is not the champ and is in no position to make heavy demands.

So in your opinion Froch hasn't earned the right to face Bute yet?

Exactly, I don't know why this is so hard to understand. If Froch wants big money and a shot at the belt he needs to come to Canada.

Bute is an undefeated Champion who can easily draw 16,000 fans.

Froch has no belt and is coming off a loss that, while not exactly lackluster, was far from impressive. He needs to redeem himself, travel to Montreal, and let the chips fall where they may.
