Gary Shaw is smoking crack, either that or he's a plain liar,

Toney/Jones was only shown on HBO, so if you didnt live in the US then you couldnt see it, why? because nobody cared ..

Benn/McLellan was shown in every major country in the world and Jay Larkin has said that Showtime has never had a greater fight and probably never will ..

Toney/Jones really struggled to sell any tickets and there were many empty seats ..

            Benn/McLellan soldout (12000) in a couple of hours ..

            Shaw is bad for boxing.

Nobody cared about Toney/Jones, there was no atmosphere in the arena and they were very small names in world boxing ..

Nigel Benn was a big name in world boxing, far bigger than Toney or Jones at that time, the Benn/McLellan was possibly the greatest ring war there has EVER been .. Toney/Jones was a borefest so Im glad that it wasnt even shown on TV(to the world)!

According to who? If i'm not mistaken, Toney was top 3 p4p at the time...people definitely cared about the fight.

You're sensationalizing...it was a great fight but it was one that carries a lot of negative baggage as well.

Toney was high up in the p4p at the time, but unfortunately he just was not a big name in world boxing because his fights were only shown in the US (unlike Benn and Eubank, who had the flasy ring entrances and all the charisma for their fights to be shown all over the world and make them big names) ..

McLellan was the most dangerous fighter in the world
Nigel Benn was the most exciting fighter in the world
THAT is what makes a big fight ..
