Whats with the misconception that Cotto

gasses out at the end of fights? Sure, he usually takes a couple rounds off around 8-10, but way more often than not comes back strong for the championship rounds. It seems people are just trying to grasp at anything to knock cotto on, floyd fans are scurred.

When pressured he loses steam late in a fight.

If he is pursuing he's fine. From what I've seen.

That can pretty much be applied to most fighters. Being pressured means that you are fighting at a pace that can be difficult to keep up with because you are not allowed to fight or dictate.

I agree with the original statement, that there is some misconception that he gasses horribly, but he seems to take a round or two about midway to get his second wind, doesn't seem like a grave issue unless he's in a tight fight.

I mean, being able to fight at the pace of say the Margarito fight I think is impressive. At no point in either fight was he able to sit on his punches and was forced to move. Not many fighters can keep it up.

        Agreed,

The Mayweather fight I suspect will have many ebbs and flows.

I would say Cotto will pressure 70% of the time and Floyd will be able to pressure him 30 % of the time.

I don't think the pace will be too much for him.

If he's stopped It'll be from a large amount for clean punches landed by Floyd.

But I suspect it will go 12.

He is one of the best at it\ Really Russian Crushin?!! Floyd is the best as PRESSSURING fighters?!! I don't know where in hell you get that, Floyd is a defensive boxer, a good COUNTER-PUNCHER so what makes you think he pressure fighters? He DOES way for perfect moments to counter but he rarely (for not saying never) pressure a fighter, and he wont do it against Cotto. Maybe he will try to be in the middle of the ring and move to the sides to avoid the ropes (and he will go there because he likes it there).
