I thought all of Ishe's fights before the contender were at 147 and 154...Ishe would do much better at the lighter divisions. With his power he would be something like the Cory Spinks of the middlewight division. I wouldn't want to watch him run all night, but I think he could get some folks out of there at 147 lb division...

I think Pemberton is too big and strong for him. But if Manfredo can pull out a victory maybe he can catch an alphabet belt if Lacy or Joe move up to light heavy. Its a long shot I know, but Manfredo is willing to take a shot and that is not something that many young fighters do in todays sport.

What will this fight say about Lacy vs. Calzaghe? If anything?

I can imagine a scenario where Manfredy has his coming out party and really beats up an old looking Pemberton.

If the young Manfredo goes out and dominates Scotty how will that effect the odds/fight predictions of the upcoming fight bnetween Lacy and Calzaghe?

I think Lacy whipping Pemberton was a pretty damn significant win as do most but I also did not like the way Scotty looked...I think Lacy was the reason for this but if a green Manfredo can come out and make the Sandman look bad then Boxing fans may need to reevaluate the win over Scotty and quite possibly their pick in the March Superfight.

                  Just a thought.

How is Lacy beating a 37 year old pro who started when he was 24 and survived his whole career on blood and guts impressive and significant?

It wasnt the victory so much that was impressive and significant it was the fashion in which the victory came...when was the last time Scotty Pemberton was blown out in 2?
