bradley vs khan would be an ugly fight to watch. khan would be on his uni cycle the whole time trying to get away from tim who's coming in none stop, head first and arms swingin'. both fighters will look average, with khan looking more pedestrian than he did against peterson, and bradley well mainly because of khan's circus tactics and lankyness which tim will have a tough time to overcome and look good against.
So Bradley ducks Khan and gets an Auto-Shot at Pacquiao.

Well its obviously always about money I don't know who wouldn't understand that but that's part of what's wrong with boxing today to many fighters unwilling to take risks because it could jeopardize future pay days. What most boxing fans don't know is there is a lot of things going on behind the scenes in boxing. I never say a fighter "ducked" anyone because you never know what the fighter is being told by his promoter.
I'm sure Bradley has been told for a while he was in line to fight Pac and that's why he didn't want to risk a fight with Khan. At the end of the day it's about money folks and call it what you want but you are trying to make the most money the fastest you can.
Bradley now is lining up his mega fight with Pac and it will be his biggest payday. He passed up 2 million to most likely make much more now.
It's called smart business.
If Bradley saw Khan as such a risk and a threat to his big pay cheque then what makes him think he stands a chance against a much better opponent in Pac?
If Bradley truly believed in himself he could have fought Khan winning that fight in turn would have made the Bradley vs Pac fight bigger thus earning Bradley more money but he wasn't willing to take the risk which is a shame.Comment

Clottey earned his shot by being number 4 in the division while Shane and Berto were supposed to fight(2 and 5). Floyd and pac talk fell through and clottey was robbed against cotto and was the highest ranking welterweight availiable. That is how clottey earned his shot with pac. Mosley and Marg though didn't deserve theirs.Comment

Surely a fight has to make sense for lots of reasons.
Anyone who works as a freelance in any industry will realise this.
I think if the whole process was a little more transparent perhaps these guys wouldnt always get a hard time.Comment

Everyone can see it. He took the puussy route to a payday. Everyone knows that. Doesn't mean people should support it or not call it what it is.
And re: "smart business" - beating Khan and then fighting Pacquaio would have made him far more money. Isn't that smart business?
So when it comes down to it, we can disregard "smart business" and say basically Bradley is a biitch.Comment

I never believed in the whole ducking thing if the the fighter u "ducked" is clearly inferior to the man you will be facing......
To me it doesn't make since.... I "ducked" a lesser guy cause I wanted to fight a better opponent..... <------ Wtf???Comment

"smart business" or "dumb luck"?
You have to go back to the timeline of events. At the time Bradley ducked Khan, there is NO WAY he could have forseen how the events would play out. At that time, there was no way of knowing how the Shaw lawsuit would play out (it still is pending), whether he would end up with TR or GB, how Marquez-Pac would play out, that Cotto would jump ship and fight Floyd, that Peterson would beat Khan and get the Marquez fight, and a hundred other things. He's getting the fight because he's the last man available, not because of his "brilliant business strategy".......Last edited by OnePunch; 02-07-2012, 11:11 AM.Comment
