Julio Cesar Chavez Jr vs Kelly Pavlik @ 164lbs: Who Wins?

I know, I know...catchweights, but clearly Pavlik can't make 160lbs healthy anymore and based off this weekend it's clear Chavez can't or chooses not to make 160lbs comfortably. WHo wins this fight?

they are saying 160 is still possible for Pavlik.

Robert Garcia said soon after pavlik started training w/him they weighed him and he was only 173, so 160 is possible.

They should take shots between rounds though, that would really make things interesting.

Two alcoholics, two irresponsible slappers who call themselves fighters... Not interested.

i'd pick kelly via knockout if he were anywhere close to true form

he's probably nowhere close to what he used to be at this stage. he looked awful in his last fight. he has been looking like he's hitting hard in the gym
i'd like to see him sparring.

who knows how his liver will handle a chavez hook, though (only half joking)
that thing has been put through the ringer.

Kelly really has a bad reputation off his chain of poor events. However, ppl really need to rate him a little higher. He'd 100% KO Chavez Jr. He'd be asleep in spectacular fashion. Put Pavlik in with an elite boxer who can consistently use lateral movement and/or tie up? That's a different story.

Pavlik that I remember vs Miranda and Taylor KO's Chavez in 6. the guy who showed up for Martinez and has been having so much news about him in the paper well ahhhh I don't know. I was thinking about htis fight the other night while watching Rubio stink up the joint. Common opponent and both are under TOP RANK so it is a possible match up for both. I just think thar Kelly has a fight or two before fighting Chvez for all the gold in MW and then rematching Martinez.....Lefty

In one corner you have a hypejob and in the other a fighter who hasn't been the same since Hopkins took his lunch money. One thing is for certain, this fight would put me to sleep.

                    I say Chavez wins
