    Just watched donaire vs Vasquez

Damn that was boring and Wth was up with with donaire not hitting the body.

With all that athletisim and coordination an accuracy as Emmanuel steward put it
He should be able to land a jab to the body to bring those hands down there's no reason he shouldn't have knocked him out he'll every big punch he landed he hurt him with he needs to get back to the gym and work on his jab he ability to block punches and body punching cause at the rate he's going and being twenty nine once that athletisim goes he gonna get ko'd

    Thoughts?

Train with Virgil Hunter or Roger May to learn the shank to the pit

Vazquez was using that chicken shell defense and when you have one guy who doesnt want to fight you are gonna have a boring fight.

HOWEVER I do think Nonito should have tried to be more aggresive in looking for angle if you know what I mean. Side stepping and breaking him down but it is what it is. Even god himself sometimes finds it hard like in the clottey fight it is what it is.

He seems to have fallen in love with his power, trys to go for the one big shot, which he did land occasionally on Vazquez Jr. It just didn't have the same effect as it did on other fighters. I agree with throwing more jabs and just throwing more period. I think he could've come over the top of Vazquez's jab alot more often with his straight right.

Rigo gives Donaire all the problems in the world still. Nonito did what he had to, but he also got tagged a bit by Vazquez after the first 4 rounds. Vazquez was nowhere near quick enough to keep up with Donaire, and I had the fight 117-110. I thought Nonito would steam roll to be honest though.

He needs to stop the Roy Jones impressions though, he seems to fall in love with that, as well as one big shot.

Nonito is great, but I thought he'd roll through Wilfredo, who's really not all that much better than Rico Ramos, if at all.

Those two should fight next, Rico Ramos vs Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. A good crossroads fight. Ramos just got embarrased by Rigo, and didn't even attempt to throw a punch after Rigo knocked him down in the first, and Wilfredo came off a decision loss to Donaire, where he was gun shy a lot of the fight.

Still, Vazquez was able to land his jab at will on Nonito and was able to tag Nonito after the first 4 rounds a little bit.

I don't even think angles were the problem if would just brought the hands down with good body shots he would have put him to sleep his body shots hurt him all two that he threw but yeah I understand

It wasn't that bad.It had moments.I think Garcia was disappointed more than anyone. He wants Nonito to press a bit and throw more when he had the upper hand in the exchanges.Like always, Nonito just sits back and allows the Boricua to get back in the game. But overall you are overreacting. The guy moved up and just because he did not KO Vasquez do not be too harsh.

NONITO DID NOT HAVE 256 AMATEUR FIGHTS TO GET GOOD.HE ONLY HAD 4O UNLIKE THAT CUBAN WHO HITS BEHIND THE HEAD

Comes to the pros and thinks with 9 fights he can be a superstar fighting legends like Ramos.

How much weight did he gain ? And I don't think I'm over reacting I think he coulda stopped him of he pressed the attack and went to the body you said he went up in weight like he gained 15 pounds or so

I think guys berating Donaire's performance are underestimating WV2.. After losing to Arce you know he was going to come back with something to prove.. Vasquez is a potentially a top fighter. It is not as much that i was unimpressed by Donaire's performance but rather quite impressed with Vasquez'.. Dude stayed with it and actually grinded it out. He will learn and I think has what it takes to be a good champ.

I thought Donaire looked real good and Vazquez proved himself a worthy challenger.
