Margarito might not be the same, he still beats Chavez Jr

In my honest opinion Margarito walks this boy down to his dads womb. I mean Julina can't be stronger or manlier than Antonio just can't. Think about it. BUT Hey bet on anything Julina isnt going to want to fight like last night with Margarito. My only worry is the eye but I see Margarito catching cesar with some violent blows to the body and uppets cuts to that ugly azz face.

What do you think?? I dont want to see this fight tho. Because if that eye pops again man and its another excuse for Chavez saying "oo look i fought who u guys wanted and I won'. I want him to face at least Cotto but I want him to face Maravilla.

Margarito's eye is jacked. all Chavez Jr. would need to do is target the eye and he would win a tko victory.

I don't think he beats Jr. but def. Kirkland @154 regardless what anyone says. No way Margo can walk down Jr. weighting 180 + pd. to win a fight.

Nah, doesn't throw as many punches as he used to. The Margarito that threw as many punches as he did against Clottey would beat JCC Jr for sure though.

I actually think its an interesting fight. Shoot me. Theres definitely more variables to consider than the horrible mismatch that would be Sergio vs JCC Jr.

There are 2 factors that make me think the fight with Cotto is no indicator of what he has left:

            1. Cotto was constantly moving sideways and would turn him.

            2. And I honestly wanna know how heavy Marg came to fight that night.. compare Marg that night to the Marg of the Pacquiao fight and he looks bigger = which in my opinion was a mistake, made him slower.

^^ He probably did that because he thought Cotto would stand like he did in the first fight and marg thought he could impose his weight on him. Surprise was Cotto was now moving and turning and all these new techniques. Marg himself said in a pre fight interview that "how much can a fighter change for one fight". Definitely not prepared.

Margarito has never been particularly fast. He plods infront of you takes your best shots, breaks you down mentally, then starts to land... and grind you down physically.

Cotto's new trainer Pedro Diaz on further research was Cuban olympic coach or something, they teach you in and out.. land shots get points on the board just like in the non-pro ranks. Maybe that's how they want Cotto to fight now.. the Cotto of old would mix it up and fight out of situations where he should've been holding or moving away (140/147)

Problem is his eye is a mess now I fear. But he's still a big draw in the sport so who knows, might become a gatekeeper in the Top Rank prospect push.

U guys realize that Jr would most likely enter the ring 20lbs heavier than Margarito rite? If u know that, there's no wat u would think he stands a chance in this fight.
