what kind of boxer is Nonito?

Been trying to work it out.

Slick:No! he get's hit way too much.

Warrior type: He doesn't like to scrap toe-to-toe or take hits to get his punches through.

Brawler/maulerefinitely not. He hardly swings with them phone booth style.

A puncher: Not anymore because the bigger guys can handle his power.

A counter puncher? BINGO...That's what he is.When it's not working. He is lost no heart to be a warrior or brawler.

hes a boxer/puncher or the closest thing to that category id say. altho he does everything, he usually doesnt do them for too long. but he needs to stop trading the line. he needs to either learn to throw more punches per round or he needs to work on his defense. he tries to pick and pop, but he gets hit wayyy too much for that. hes not overwhelmingly fast at 122, so he needs to adapt his style. if he doesnt, hes gonna be in a world of trouble against guys like nishioka or rigondeaux.

He tries to be a mixture of Roy Jones and Prince Naseem Hamed.

and to me, thats his issue. he needs to find his own style. hes not roy, definitely not. hamed is a little trickier because i see glimpses at times. but i think he needs to stop imitating others and find what works for him.

counter puncher with power! he works on his opponents mistakes and make them pay with his badass left hook or right hand. Plus he's very accurate with his punches and barley gets off rythm. I think most people find his last 2 fights borings because of that but he's a smart boxer who dosent likes to waste punches.

IMO he deserves to be on the top 5 P4P

Yep I agree. He even does the pawing of the glove that Roy does, and Hamed's leaping in with hooks.

                    Very good analysis..

I think some boxers know their identity. The fact that Nonito experiments with roy jones, Hamed and Marquez styles tells me he doesn't know what the F he is?

I know what he can do.Counter and has good punch. He can't brawl and throw fuselage of punches like Pacquiao.

He needs to stick with what works for him.He copies and paste sometimes.
Counter punching is not going to work all the time then he has to find other ways to survive in this brutal unforgiving sport.
