RING No. 5-rated middleweight Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. was arrested by the California Highway Patrol on the morning of Jan. 22 and charged with drunk driving, according to records obtained by ******.com and a spokesman at the holding facility.
Listed as 6-foot-1, 175 pounds at the time of his intake, Chavez, 25, was arrested at 4:38 a.m., booked at 7:19 in the Los Angeles County Jail, and released at 10:25 that morning, according to the operator at station No. 4 of the Los Angeles inmate reception center.
Chavez has a court hearing about the case on March 16 at the Los Angeles Municipal Court, according to the spokesman.
Chavez (44-0-1, 31 knockouts ) has Saturday night's HBO-televised defense of his WBC belt against Marco Antonio Rubio (53-5-1, 46 KOs).
Public relations director Lee Samuels of Top Rank Inc., Chavez's promoter, said he had no knowledge of the arrest.

what a bonehead, chavez jr is
he looks like he eats like a normal human being
his face and body never look like that of a professional boxer with almost 50 fights.
maybe when he's close to a fight and he's gotta dry out
evidently he drinks, lol
what is it with these guys?
it might be coming up the easy way in the game, but some of these young guys arent as hungry as they should beLast edited by New England; 02-04-2012, 07:02 PM.Comment
