I love Donaire, but one thing I have noticed about him is that he is trying to milk his Pinoy roots more and more. It seems forced when I see him talking about going to PI and all this #pinoypride business after anything he says on fb/twitter.
I feel like he's trying hard to show that he is a true Pinoy and maybe that is TR trying to get him acceptance so that he can get more popular with the fans and get that paper.
Not saying that he isn't proud of his heritage, but it seems a bit forced...kind of like when Mexican-Americans try to talk as if they are straight Mexican.
I don't follow his twitter but yeah, many pinoys for a long time didn't view him as a real filipino. So maybe that could be a cause for it.
