I think it's just an excuse for Chavez moving up after he beats Rubio.

it's looks Cotto jumped ship, so that ends that fight and if he moves up he'll be rid of Sergio Martinez.

so I'm suspecting Chavez will vacate his title after this bout. he'll probably fight some bums that will build up to a "super fight" with Pavlik, Arum might even make Margarito move up to 168 to face Chavez in one of the typical BS Chavez fights leading up to the Pavlik showdown.

the WBC will figure out a way to steal their belt away from Ward and give it to Chavez.


I wouldn't be suprised if Chavez vacates the title within a few days after the fight.Martinez vs Macklin might be for the 160 title. it's the easiest way to slience Martinez and it doesn't make Chavez look like he's ducking him.

I've said he is going to beat Rubio. Rubio is overrated and isn't all what people make him out to be. Yea he beat Lemieux but dude quit like a ***** vs Pavlik.
