    Is Floyd's body punching underated?

In his last three fights, the beginning of the end came on hard body shots recieved by Floyd's opponents. It seems he is utterly brilliant at setting up open shots to high value target areas. I have heard a lot about Hatton's body work on BS and granted I was quite impressed with what I saw against Kostya, but I don't think Mayweather gets his due for landing devastating body shots. And if you don't think much of his last three opponents ask diego corrales how he liked PBF's body shots. I think this willl be a great way for him to end fights as he faces opponents who may be able to take his best shots upstairs.

he has always thrown nice body shots...especially in the pocket hooks, straight right hands, and jabs to the body...smart smart fighter...

Hatton's body attack is just brutal though...makes me wince

That bodyshot that finished Mitchell last night was just brutal. Imagine an average Joe getting hit with that shot. I wouldn't want to be the reciever...

I wouldn't say it's underrated...maybe overlooked. Everyone knows he's a very good body puncher, nobody talks about it very much is all.

His jab to the body might be my favorite punch that he throws. It's his signature punch if you ask me...

yeah, that was a nice shot that Mitchel got caught with. I never thought that Floyd was anything less than a really good body puncher.

Its his speed that really kills, they just dont see the punch coming. His defense kind of overshadows everything else.

Plenty of fighters are fast, the key with Mayweather is not merely the speed but the way in which he uses that speed. I think the effectiveness of his body shots is one of the primary examples of this.
