No, I don't think so. I don't think Martinez has any better of a chance than anyone else. He's getting so overrated it's crazy.
can any fighter right now actually beat floyd mayweather??

Only Pacquiao is capable of winning against Mayweather and viceversa. Even after Manny's controversial win against Marquez, I see him as the only real threat. Although I would put my money on Mayweather if he will eventually fight against Pacquiao.Comment

exactly, where other skilled fighters may be forced to do silly things for the money gain (catchweights) mayweather has the money power behind him and the skill to fall back on...can't see him being beat!I don't see anyone out there with a realistic shot of beating Mayweather. His skill level is too high, head and shoulders above the rest. Only a huge hitter would have a puncher's chance and I don't see anyone out there with the power to KO him. Mosely caught him solid and he took it.
The only way I see Mayweather not retiring undefeated is if he makes some really bad business moves loses all his money and is forced to fight on when his powers have declined.Other than that I am certain he will retire undefeated.Comment

Styles makes fights. 3 fights with marquez was even fights. Pac and Marquez are just meant for each other.Would you match anyone to beat floyd mayweather right now?
Pacquiao?
Lets face it, after Pac's last fight the majority of people think he would be countered and pot shotted to death by floyd and the odds are that he will.
Cotto?
Cotto has some skill left after his whooping from marg and pac but he struggled with mosley and has he really got the pressure to take out mayweather? His left body shot that he seems to of abandoned would be his biggest tool, but floyds right elbow will probably block that.
Marg, Mosley?
Well we know the answer to Mosley, Marg is past prime and a punching bag right now.
Martinez, Alvarez?
Would prob have to fight him at 147 to floyd's advantage, and he would just pick them apart.
Anyone else?! and don't say berto or ortiz.
IMO mayweather will retire (when he decides to) undefeated.
We now again seeing that he can still do an offensive array of attacks since he was still 'pretty boy' and hungry. This guy has both amazing defense and can choose to be offensive when he wants. He claims he has only ever used his 'C' game and we can see that now with his attacking skill coming forward.
I'm a fan of all boxers and appreciate the blood and sweat to be at that level, but lets be realistic..As of right now Mayweather is unbeatable!? Someone, give me another perspective!
Pac ain't done yet, But he will soon. He has a few fights left, but Floyd is waiting for that time he is a battle worn ready for the picking.Comment

it would have to be martinez at 154 and even then i have my doubts. in the end, whats gonna beat floyd is the same thing that beats every fighter, great or not, age.
pac doesnt beat floyd. different level of fighter.Comment

It certainly was close, i dont see that as being a knock on cotto tho. Mosley still had alot in the tank then. Imo, it was a different mosley than the trigger shy, older, last leg of of his career mosley that fought mayweather.Comment

There's several.
Andre Ward, Andre Dirrell, Chad Dawson, Wladimir Klitschko, Deontay Wilder...
...But from Middleweight on down, NO.
Martinez would give him decent fight, ONLY@ MIDDLEWEIGHT though.Comment

I'll just say this Cotto is a good fighter but if May fights him like he did Mosley Cotto has no chance. With that said Martinez at 154 would be good only due to his size and power advantage. Pac will lose I have no doubt in my mind his timing is not as good reach is smaller and he will get caught with numerous left hooks launching in just like Ortiz did. I don't see why people keep talking about the 4th round if people watch the fight again all ortiz was doing was hyping the crowd one punch landed out the flurry and he was constantly getting caught with right hands jabs and left hooks, that's why his eye was puffy at the end. Back on subject I can't think of anyone who can beat him right now. Maybe Ward if they were the same weight class to bad that would be a great fight.Comment

Don't know why people are so high on Martinez.
Pacquiao has a much better chance against Floyd than Sergio.
I still think Pac is Floyd's biggest challenge, as cliche as that may be. I also think Floyd convincingly outpoints him though.Comment
