Bradley because you cannot beat Floyd
who has the better chance of pulling the upset?...

He's not a volume puncher, based on that i have to disagree. Cotto can take hard shots, its when their is 500 of them in a min span that he gets in trouble.
Will he have swelling? Sure. Nothing he hasnt experienced before tho, he has fought through it every time. Cotto poses more a threat to mayweather than bradley does to pac imo (assuming cotto brings a good gameplan)Comment

The word "Upset" would lead me to believe that Bradley has very little chance in winning, and that he's out-matched. I think it's a very even fight, and I personally think Bradley would beat Pac (he probably wouldn't get the decision, but I think most fans would have him winning on their score-cards). I'm not gonna be screaming, HOLY ****! BRADLEY BEAT PACQUIAO like some of the guys on here would be. The guys who are saying Pac is going to beat the **** outta Bradley, and that Pac is gonna KO him, are gonna be the ones who are bound to be shocked. Did anybody learn anything from the Marquez fight not to make ludicrous assumptions? Bradley is a very competent fighter. Pac is declining in more ways than one. Bradley is very much in his prime, still has some room to develop his craft, and has a strong skill-set already. On the other hand, Pac has become stagnant and Roach doesn't seem to be doing **** about it. Somebody in another thread said he's a jack of all trades, which I think is a term that suits him very well. Bradley seems to be solid in every facet of boxing, but he can also make gradual adjustments, and he can switch into different gears through-out a fight. This suggests that he has a high in-ring IQ. He has good foot-work, above average foot and hand-speed, has an inside-game, and is very-well conditioned. Bradley also does not get discouraged. Also, he has a slight height and reach advantage on Pac as well, which will make it a little easier for him to stick his jab and move. ON TOP OF ALL OF THAT, there's already an established blue-print on how to defeat Pac.
Cotto beating Mayweather is a legitimate upset because Cotto doesn't have all the necessary tools needed to beat Floyd, on top of the fact that Floyd is undefeated. It's going to take a lot of Cotto to defeat Floyd, and he's going to have to hope that Floyd is starting to slip a little as well. It's going to take some luck for Cotto to win.Last edited by kiaba360; 02-02-2012, 09:13 PM.Comment

I think too many people are putting an emphasis on Pac's last two fights.
Mosley ran like Carl Lewis. If Mosley would've stood and fought, he would've been KO'd.
Marquez had 24 rounds of experience against Pac heading into the fight. I would hope he does well.
Granted, Pac hasn't looked good lately against fighters that stick and move, but I just don't see Bradley being that type of fighter. Normally he fights flat footed and throws combo's while going toe to toe. Something that will get him dropped like he was against Holt if he chooses to do so.Comment

Bradley's overrated ass will pose no threat, either on the scorecards or via KO to Pacquaio. He's being lined up to get KOd effortlessly.
He should just go back to beating up 40 year old potheads who were once great
Mayweather/Cotto is going to look like Cotto/Clottey
while Pacquaio/Bradley is going to look like Pacquiao/Diaz.Comment

So you're basing your opinion on the Marquez fight which Bradley fights nothing like. It's fine if you don't want to give somebody credit, but to say that you won't be excited doesn't make it anyless than an upset is ludicrous. The word "Upset" would lead me to believe that Bradley has very little chance in winning, and that he's out-matched. You're telling me that #1 P4P guy loses with every advantage under the sun, and it still wouldn't be considered an upset.

When Pacquiao is confronted with a fighter who will not fight him on his terms, we see Pac's flaws come to the surface. Hatton/Diaz/Cotto/Margarito simply came forward and tried to pressure Pacquiao, thinking they were going to out-muscle him. What do they all have in common? They can't match Pac in punch volume or in hand/foot-speed. So what does that mean? They are doing half of the work for Pac by coming straight to him (not giving him angles also), and they are literally walking into his onslaught. Pac did a Mariachi dance on Cotto/Margarito/Diaz, and he laid out Hatton like a rug. Mosley was in full-retreat mode, but the fact that he was backing up and Pacquiao couldn't seem to cut off the ring and trap him was an issue. Team Pac then later blamed his performance on cramps or some car accident if i remember correctly, but besides the point lol. Marquez was able to out-maneuver him and take away his speed advantage as well with his excellent timing. There were multiples instances where Marquez caught Pac off-balance as well. Now, I could be (and probably am) giving Bradley more credit than I should, given that he hasn't fought someone with Pac's speed or experience. However, speed can be negated with a good jab and timing (which Bradley has), and Bradley is faster than Marquez. His countering ability and combination punching may not be on JMM's level, but he can let his hands go if need be and he's decent at properly judging distance. Bradley has been wanting to fight Pac for years now, and there HAS to be something he sees that he can exploit or otherwise he would be hesitant to make the fight happen. Bradley is capable of winning this fight, and when the time comes, i'll be betting on him to win. If he loses, then Pac can finally say that he has beaten an undefeated prime fighter who was capable of beating him, and he gets all the respect that comes with that. However, when you have most of the guys on here saying Pac is going to ice Bradley, then Pac is already being set up for failure. Marquez was underestimated, and now it is Bradley's time to be underestimated.I think too many people are putting an emphasis on Pac's last two fights.

I think Bradley's team will be smart enough to incorporate what worked for JMM in his fight with Pac, into their own gameplan.
Oh great, another wall of text lmaoLast edited by kiaba360; 02-02-2012, 10:32 PM.Comment
