Comments Thread For: De La Hoya Confirms Saul Alvarez For Mayweather-Cotto

Oscar De La Hoya, President of Golden Boy Promotions, has confirmed the particpation of WBC junior middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (39-0-1, 29KOs) for the Floyd Mayweather-Miguel Cotto undercard on May 5th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. As BoxingScene.com had always reported, Canelo was going to return to the ring on May 5th, but it wasn't clear whether he was fighting on the undercard or in the main event. After Mayweather announced his move in weight to challenge Cotto for the WBA title, De La Hoya revealed Alvarez's participation on the undercard.

Now that's a no-brainer. I doubt they'll match him up against a top MW, though. I'm almost certain he's gonna be facing Shane but I would like to see him fight Ortiz.

Why Canelo thinks he is this big shot and doesnt want to do undercards?

              Those split site shit, sucks!!

Cuz what they do, is put a ****ting undercard for both venues and just 2 good fights
