Cotto is in my top 10 most overrated of all time

He had a good pre-margarito run, but who did he really beat?

Mosley was his only good win(all the undefeated hungry contenders he beat turned out to be nobodies) and that was a close fight, and Mosley was already a grandpa, even back then.

The he got destroyed by Margarito, lost to clottey, Got destroyed by Pacquiao, and then went on to fight a one legged Yuri Foreman, a shot 38 year old Mayorga and a shot Margarito with only one eye.

I'm not just saying this because he signed to fight floyd, I've been saying this for a long time because I used to be the biggest miguel cotto fan, and I still supported him after Margarito, and I was waiting for him to prove himself after the Pacquiao loss.

But he never did.

Cotto fought just about any and everybody you could fight between 140-147 minus Mayweather. I don't understand how Cotto is seen as overrated. Nobody is saying hes the best fighter this era or P4P #1-5, yet he's overrated?

As far as who he's fought after Pacquiao, who didn't he fight that's going to make Cotto look bad? He fought the #1 fighter in the world and is now going to fight the #2 (or #1 to some). He fought Foreman, Mayorga, and Margarito rematch in between Pac and Mayweather. Honestly, he could've fought the Ishe Smiths of the world, but wouldve gotten **** for that too. Anyone IMO calling Cotto overrated simply doesn't like the guy. It would be one thing if people were walking around saying Cotto's unstoppable, but that clearly isn't the case, and wasn't really the case even when he was undefeated.

What makes Pac look bad though is Floyd is going up to fight Cotto at his current weight where there won't be any excuses at all (and shouldn't be). With that being said, I still consider Pac's win over Cotto legit, but it doesn't make Manny look that good if he asked Cotto for 147 while making 150 catch weight for Margarito. I still like Pac, but just sayin...

Uhh he beat some good fighters and contenders before Marg, Clottey lost a close fight and lets remember so many ppl were saying Yuri was not only going to outbox but ko Cotto its not like he was hurt going into the fight he got hurt while the fight took place and Cotto was moving to 154 for the 1st time, coming off of a tko loss, and was fighting a defending champ.

The only boxer of the current era that is more overrated than Cotto is Vitali Klitschko.
