Who gives a **** about Casamayor.. It was a ****ing tune-up.. He fought a decent 147 lb fighter in Abregu.. He fough the best competition in LWW...It's a lot more than what Cotto did in the last 3 years...

Anyway, what had Cotto done since he got KO by Pac in 2009.. Note that was 3 years ago.. Nothing.. Heck what did Cotto did at 154...

    • Dang can't we just be happy as boxing fans that we get to fights. Boxing is dying with all the greed, lack of big fights, and controversy surrounding this "sport". I remember not to long ago big time fighters used to fight like 4 to 5 times a year. Now we lucky if hey fight 2 times. May vs Pac is not happening and may never happen. Arum don't want it, Pac has no voice and Floyd got greedy. May/Cotto and Pac/Bradley I'm happy cause it's boxing

      • Bradley doesn't know what losing feels like. He is a live live dog. It's a bit more even to me.

          • Are you autistic? You're the one saying he looked great against Casamayor.

As for what Cotto's done at 154? I don't know, nothing that's impressed me.

But to argue that Floyd fighting Cotto at a full 154 which FORCED Pac to settle for his 2nd option Bradley is worse than Pac-Bradley?

Why? What's Bradley done at 140 that suggests he's going to be a force at 147? And why is Pac targeting a JUNIOR welterweight? After complaining about not fighting above 147, he goes below welter to find his next opponent?

Bull****. If this was Floyd-Bradley at 147 and Pac-Cotto at 154, even Noah's Ark wouldn't survive the flood of hate that would engulf the world.

He looked great fighting at WW..who cares about the competition.. ...And you forgot Abregu, which he also beat at 147..

In any case, we are just comparing Cotto and Bradley.. No one is saying that Bradley will be dominant in WW as he was in LWW... Although given the type of competition at WW (minus Floyd and Pac), I believe he can... I think he beats Ortiz (based on styles), and can give Berto a 50/50 fight...Plus most of the top 140 lbers, are making move up to 147 anyway (like Maidana, Khan, Peterson).. And I do think he can beat them too...

On the other hand, the Cotto-Floyd fight is still good but its nothing more than a money fight to me.. But its certainly a bigger event..

Someone else that knows nothing about Tim Bradley I guess. He's only been the best fighter at 140 for nearly three years.

                  • "Who cares about the competition?"

You can't be serious? So just the fact that he 'looked good' at 147 is what matters, the fact that he fought no one of consequence is besides the point?

Let me be clear, I'm not impressed with the Floyd-Cotto fight. I think Floyd is going to whitewash Miguel. But at the very least he's taking on a full fledged JMW and he isn't trying to cripple him with a weight demand. What I'm even LESS impressed with is the supposed P4P King dipping into 140 to find his next opponent, especially since Bradley's recent work is a big pile of MEH. Say what you want about Cotto being past prime, but if that's the case, Casamayor may as well be in the grave. And the Alexander fight was not impressive on any level. The blatant duck of Khan was just the cherry on top.

Floyd is a fighting a puffed up JMW, almost shot, damaged goods in Cotto. . And you think that is better than the top LWW, #8 P4P, undefeated fighter in Bradley..

And lol on Cotto being full fledged JMW. Cotto had 3 fights at JMW, while Bradley had 2 at WW.. So you are telling me Cotto is full fledged because he has 1 more measly fight than Bradley...And before you insult Bradley's competition at WW, you might want to look at Cotto's competition in JMW too...

You are also forgetting the fact that both Bradley and Pac would be coming in at the same weight in weigh-in, and at fight night.. so no one is crippling anyone or trying get advantage over the other...

Its just you trying to come up an excuse to justify Floyd's choice of Cotto...lol..
