Chavez Jr is a bum by most of your opinions, so now Rubio must be the worst fighter ever if he has no chance in beating Jr....

Rubio knocked out Lemeuix, and undefeated fighter who nobody gave him a chance to beat. I know, I know...everyone knew Lemeuix was abum to begin with and overrated right? LOL

I personally think this will be Jr's toughest test to date and a lagit opponent. Rubio has heavy hands, is a tough war tested veteran and can go the distance with Jr easily.

This has the makings of a great tough fight imo.
I agree 100000% with this post. Rubio has been sharp lately. He's got a serious right and punches a lot straighter than junior.

    I'm pumped for this fight.

People need to remember something else Walt, Jr is NOT heavy handed. Even though he's a big strong kid, he doesn't have 1 punch KO power or even heavy shots like you would expect.

I don't think he's feather fisted but you would expect more for a guy who walks around at 180+.

I can't wait for this weekend, cunningham vs Hernandez, then HBO.

            No, don't be ignorant.

Most people who don't give Rubio much of a chance is not because he is a bum. Or the worse fighter or any hyperbole you want to use. The reason is because a lot of them don't think he can get a fair shake with the judges or even the ref. Rubio doesn't think so either, hence why he wanted a different ref and got denied by the WBC.

              one in five perhaps?

had to go with 0-20 because it fit into my math

there's no chance in hell he wins via decision, and that's obviously got to factor into things

chavez is a good sized kid and he looks to have at least a decent chin
rubio will have to really pour it on for a stoppage

              one in five

it should be a good fight anyway. i think chavez will try his hand at boxing for a few rounds and eventually start to set his feet and punch hard and it should make for some fun exchanges

he walks into the ring that heavy lol!

i think he drops from close to 200 lbs when he begins training

for a guy that sized, you're right
he's not a true puncher. he's more of a worker.

but any middleweight is going to get busted up and worn down if they let a guy that size put hands on them all night

when he gets to 168 or 175 i can see him getting stopped

his own team has said, "we need a knockout to get a draw in this fight"

I think he can stop jr.

Not for his size, but he can wear some guys down to the body. but he's slow.
