If it was at 140 I would be very confident in Rios. At 147, I'm not. But, if Rios can carry the weight well. I would be very confident that he can. Ortiz has better tools/talent/skills than Rios has. But, Rios is a fighter and Ortiz plain and simple isn't.

ortiz would be inactive for a while man. i think he should find a decent fight for now and then go after this. going to this alexander/maidana, hope maidana wins so it can make way for a rematch i've been hoping comes true.

How about Mayweather vs Ortiz II because the first fight was bull **** and Floyd looked to be getting bothered by Ortiz, IMO, with Canelo vs Cotto as the double header because that way people in the same weights are fighting eachother. I know it wont happen but, hey a guy can dream can't he!

Yes it's what I really wanted to see: Ortiz put up or shut up against his arch nemesis Marcos Maidana

No matter how the fight ended with Floyd, it's over and Floyd needs to move on, fight someone new. Ortiz shouldn't be rewarded for trying to damage another fighter with his head...on purpose. I think Ortiz is a fighter though but he has kind of like that Zab Judah concentration. When he's on, he's ferocious...but once he gets bothered he just kind of goes into wtf mode...

Ortiz beats Rios pretty convincingly imo.

Still, why not Ortiz - Canelo on cinco de mayo, 150 pounds? That would be a great fight and as much as I like Ortiz and the way he fights (minus..the head), I wonder if they can each withstand each other's punishment? At least Canelo would be up against someone who can throw back as hard as him..

Right, hell if Rios can carry the weight well to 147 he would whoop Ortiz. I think Mike Jones would beat him as well.

Ortiz is not a different animal, not all of a sudden a beast. "*******s" and anyone else who believes that were fooled by one performance against an above average fighter. But, Ortiz is another Judah/Cottey.
Not so easy player, Bradley, bytch boy khan, alexander, peterson, maidana have done nothing to prove they can hang at 147 let alone beat Ortiz who's not 140 anymore.

Ortiz is nothing special and I never said he was but neither are the 140 lb wanna be WW's like Bradley, khan, alexander, maidana, and peterson. Especially at WW.

                  "Ortiz who's not 140 anymore."

                  Like if that matters.

Bradley is more special than Ortiz in the instance that he has intangibles. Has heart, toughness, and more importantly the will to win.

Maidana is more special than Ortiz. Because, he already made that tree quit.

Ortiz beats either of the two, not really all that interested but I understand that the Maidana rematch is necessary.
