I saw that fight. I was really impressed with JuanMa. It took some stones to make it to the final bell. It might've taken more out of him than any of us suspected at the time. A fighter can get old in one night. The rematch with Salido might tell us everything we need to know.Comment

Bro, I have been plenty of pro camps and I can tell you that if you are a sparring partner and you drop the headliner, you better keep your mouth shut or you won't have another job.
Sounds to me like someone opened up their mouth and shouldn't have.Comment

lol Agreed to all!
Oquendo put JuanMa on his butt hard. I believe it. Somebody broke the "code" and ran around blabbing. Jon is just doing what he's supposed to do: keeping his mouth shut.
Top fighters occasionally hit the canvass during sparring. Seasoned fans know this. What's making this story roll is: 1. Lopez's fans are concerned that JuanMa's chin is cracked; and 2. Some "bochinchero" let the cat out of the bag.Comment

There has to be better trainers and condition coaches for Juanma in Puerto Rico to teach him defense and bolster his stamina. Who are the good trainers in Puerto Rico? Why not hook up with them instead.
Juanma will likely lose to Salido. Boricuas still have Cotto and Dulorme and Valle look like good prospects.Comment

Getting dropped in sparring is not a huge issue. No headline fighter gives 100% in sparring and it's completely different to a real fight. So even if it did happen i wouldn't look too much into it, and i'm not just talking about Juanma i'm talking about all fighters.
If you get dropped in sparring then you know not to make that mistake again so you should be better prepared for when fight night comes around.Comment
