man i think the last 5-6 years for boxing have been dog s hit for the high profile fights but i think hbo/showtime have produced amazing fights. I think boxing is going to get a whole lot better very fast when Arum is out of the picture and now that greenburg is gone at HBO and Hershmen has taken over. I remember Richard Schafer saying he can not talk deal with Arum anymore and he is outdated and hurting the sport but saying he can deal with todd duboef who is smart, tech savy and pleasant to get along with.

it doesn't also help that as fighters' popularity and drawing power increase, his fighting frequency decreases. damn the top two ppv draws fight only twice a year while the other once every other year.

            Hernandez UD

Rubio vs Chavez is an even fight IMO. Donaire vs Vazquez is more of the same nonsense but we'll get to see how much of Donaire's physical advantages follow him when he moves up.

and a couple decent FNF cards and a showbox card.

that's a lot more than what UFC has going on this month

Boxing has had it's great days and it's not so great days. Do you know that when boxing was truley thriving, not just the heavyweights but every division, it was controlled mainly by one organization. the I.B.C. Do some research into that group and you'll find many interesting things.

Promoters should not be allowed to sign fighters to multi fight contracts. That only further segregates the fighters and allows for few of the really good bouts to come off because of political bull ****...........Rockin'

Listen be like me, stream ppv's don't pay a penny for them & watch showtime to see those young uns beat the crap out of each other.

For example look at Ortiz-Berto 1. It ****** on every last ppv.

Way to ignore a solid PPV in December.

The fall of 2008 was the worst.

Last year was ok, but only if you watched the right fights.

Don't forget the headbutt showcase that no one saw put on by Bradley vs Alexander. The PWill victory over Lara. The hand tapping love fest by Pac and Mosley. The lowblow excuse by Judah. The real lowblow fight by mares v agbeko. The infamous toe of haye. And of course marg getting another title shot and payday.
