Mayweather wobbled Mitchell as early as the first round, then put him down in the third with a beautiful straight hand. To Mitchell's credit, he managed to get in some good blows in the fourth round, but they had no effect on Mayweather and weren't even enough to carry the round. Mayweather ended the fight in the sixth round with a straight to the body that put Mitchell down on a delayed reaction. Mitchell did get up at the count of nine but it was clear he was only in for more punishment if the fight continued.
