And, because canelo fought the loser of a fight, and alfonso gomez, and ryan rhodes (whoever that is), he is now more talented?

Cotto is the king of winning vacant belts. Let's not even bring that in the argument. The first actual champion he beat for his belt was Yuri Foreman.

He got his 140 WBO title when it was vacant, he got his 147 WBA title when it was vacant, he got his WBO 147 title when it was vacant. Finally at 154 he decides to fight an actual champion.

Canelo's only major title he won, is vacant against an outmatched opponent in Matthew Hatton as a kid. But that's just once. Cotto did it three times as a grown up.

At this point, anybody with two legs would beat foreman. Obviously those wins dont mean anything, but all in all, it means canelo is largely untested. Its mayweather cherrypicking a green guy who has a zero and a fan base.

What makes you so confident that alvarez would beat margarito? Margarito is a tough sob who is gonna take the shots and keep coming, throwing hard shots in return. Obviously he isnt what he used to be, but hes gonna keep coming.

At this point, its saying something by saying margarito would be canelo's greatest challenge to date....thats pretty sad. Yet he's a legitimate contender for mayweather?
