Sounds good, I was hoping they would announce the release of super duper Inverted Infra red spinny kaildoscope vision for those fights that are hard to judge....

This would have been good for Cotto/Margarito 1!

Don't like it. It will no doubt be inherantly flawed and people will use it as a crutch like they do compubox.

They could use this new device for their highlights, e.g. "Biggest punch of the round" and "Biggest punch of the fight". It would be fun being all excited to see this in the HW division, and then realizing the biggest punch was a Klitschko jab.

While i do think this is interesting and informative to the sport statistically and analytically, I think when/if this becomes public and universally known and used, fighters are gonna be even bigger ducks than they are now.

no ones gonna fight the guy with "the biggest punch" in their division. fighters who would've fought someone before, aren't going to anymore knowing for a fact, based on science, that their opponent has a bigger punch than them even though they could still beat the man with the bigger punch. its a psychological advantage too, knowing u punch harder than ur opponent.

idk if its gonna be good for the sport or not, we're probably gonna prove that based on the average force of all boxing punches, all boxers face a severe risk of brain damage with indisputable proof.

thats gonna work against boxing, its gonna be more evidence for politicians and organizations to try and get the sport banned. yea it sounds cool and i think it is cool, but at the same time, its very dangerous

I believe the HBO crew (minus Kellerman) will use this as a crutch for their bios assess for their HBO fav fighters. Smh

it's just something that's fun to see, nothing more. I think it's a cool idea.

And it wont mean much at the end of the day. You'll see guys getting knocked out and knocked down from relatively "weak" punches while the biggest shots of the fight might not do much damage. Why? Because often times it's about the timing of the punch, whether the opponent sees it coming or not, angles, etc.

Then you'll have NSB going crazy making threads like "so and so got KO'd by a pillow punch OMG he has no chin!!!"

I am struggling to see how this little 0.2 ounce device is beneficial during the course of a fight. Maybe it could be a teaching tool for trainers after a fight in getting their guys to sit down more on punches in exchanges and training for their next bout. No scratch that...no trainer or fighter worth their salt needs an Ivan Drago/Rocky IV computer readout of force behind power shots. This sounds like a gimmick whereby the ABC is getting a 15% bird-dog fee for pushing this product on state run commissions with the two big networks getting a little slice as well.
                      That's what's worrying me
