I think Floyd's quick move to 147 was smart.

I think Floyd's quick move to 147 was smart.

Now he had the opportunity to see how well he carried the weight.

Floyd, while short like Mosley has the ability to carry 147lbs well. Like Zab he doesn't look soft or anything and he is still quick on the release at this weight. I don't think he had any trouble really making it either.

So physically he may be a little more prepared for guys that are naturally big like Hatton, Cotto, maybe a return match with Castillo. Margarito is still going to be big, but I think Floyd's skill and quickness will be the difference in that fight.

Te way Ilook at it he hasnt got hit by a real 147 pounder. I think mitchell had SOME skill at 40 but he never was a real power puncher so we'll see how Mayweather handles some of thesse bigger guys that have A style similar to castillos but with heavier hands. But i have to give Mayweather his props cause he looked unstopable in his last 2 fights, hopefully he steps it up for 06!!!

yeah, I wasn't necessarily talking about the punches he takes, though that is always a valid point...

I guess my point was just getting his body to fill out at 147 for possible future fights vs big Jr welterweights and current welterweights...he shouldn't go any higher though

I honestly think someone like Judah would have the best chance right now...

other than Judah, I can only see Floyd losing because he decides to move up too high in weight vs a good big man

I agree, I didnt see the fight but peeps are saying he looked to fast for Mitchell and if thats the case then he will look super fast againts Margarito. Even with that said Mayweather would have the fight a perfect fight to get past margarito and he definatly has the skills and discipline. He shoud fight Tony next and then unify the welterweight titles with Judah. That will assure him a spot in the hall.I think a Castillo fight at 140 would be nice but I see the very same ending as the first 2 fights.
