canelo hasn't taken a big shot from a big puncher so I don't know. I remember he was hurt badly by little Jose cotto. now canelo is a bit older so who knows

        its in him...I know it!!

I think Canelo got some "fall back " in him...just like Maidana showed us Vic had some by bringing it outta him...Kirkland will do the same to Canelo...he'll have the kid falling back midway through....around halftime/6th round) the kid should be doing the new age version of "no mas"...falling back!!!

he did get hurt vs jose cotto altho cotto was a small guy but thats it,...kirkland on the other hand got dropped 3 times by an unknown opponent (altho joe cotez did a ****ty once again ) ..canelo IMO is the better skilled fighter, more patient, more versatile , and have better defense.....faster too , so i lean towards him...the only advantage i see in favor of kirland is experinece and maybe power (by not much)...intriguing fight no doubt...

While I despise the way Canelo got the "championship" belt from those corrupt crooks at the WBC, I think Kirklands poor chin fails him, maybe even early. However, I don't think Canelos handlers are gonna put him in front of Kirkland for no more than the purse will be for the fight. Kirkland, well he seems to be willing to fight anyone

kirkland is the much better conditioned fighter..........wolf prepares him to go 20 rounds if need be. canelo gassed in 4 rounds against cintron (without throwing much of anything)

sure canelo is the better skilled opponent but that means **** if your condition isn't up to par.

i see canelo having his moments early on but ultimately quitting after 4 rounds...........

Canelo has yet to fight a bigger stronger guy.

                That's Kirkland.
Until I see kirkland come over 168 on fight night ( like canelo has a ton ), Canelo remains the bigger guy to me. The question here isn't about size though, its about how does canelo fight backing up/in the inside?

I wouldn't be so quick to give kirkland the edge against ANYONE with a punch though. Especially not someone with enough Power to knock out Baldimor.

ive seen a lost canelo , but not gassed out....cinron was never in the fight vs canelo.....and cintron was a pretty skilled fighter comnpared to kirkland. ..few things that kirkland would work agints him is his chin, his **** defense and his impatience imo...canelo has everthing favoring him besides experince (which not by much)..and power, but since he has the ****tier chin i dont thibk that matters much...one thing is for sure , it'd end in a stoppage...

dude, you're not a canelo fan..........everyone that's seen canelos fights know that he don't fight good backing up.

canelo must jump in & out with one two shots...............

cotto's brother backed him up & hurt him............

canelo got seriously hurt when cornered by the ropes........

I would say I want that fight one year from now to build it properly, but if they both win it would be a fun little scrap at the end of the year.

I certainly think Canelo will fall back especially in the beginning, it would be ****** for him to just stand his ground he should use his boxing skills which he has which are superior to Kirkland's but he should slowly be looking to push Kirkland back as the fight progresses because once Kirkland starts going back the fight would essentially be over.

I think Canelo should be the favorite but could understand liking Kirkland and depending on what I see in their next fights I might change my mind, either way the underdog is certainly very live.
