On an emotional level I agree with you but as a matter of principle I don’t want him to get beat up more in another fight. Even though his offense(s) were so egregious to punish him more physically in another fight takes boxing back a step or two. I’d like to think we aren’t as bad as him; no one has to be destroyed for justice to be done. Antonio Margarito should have been properly sanctioned for his actions, which imho should have been a lifetime ban from the sport.

I'm not so entertained watching an old cheater get the tamales kicked out of him, I'd be more intrigued if boxing stood for something and made an example out of him when it counted....

But the truth is this guy will continue to fight. So if he does, then it should not be against "easy passes", were talking about a guy who says "I will die in the ring" and didnt mind killing other fighters in the ring with plaster...if this is the mentality we are dealing with then he needs to learn the hard way.

I would love to see Cotto fight anyone, but I understand that he is at the end of his career and has more money options. As a fantasy fight ..then great.
Tony needs anyone and Kirkland can make a bigger name from casual fans if he beats Tony plus its a slug fest which is usually very entertaining.
