World beater? Not at all. No need to use hyperbole.

Don't see any way Gamboa stops Rios. His blood would have to be 100% illegal PEDs to do that.

I hate rios' personality. But in the Acosta he just absolutely walked him down despite getting tagged too.And Acosta was highly regarded as a strong puncher/technician aside from Marquez.Im surprised Arum hasn't matched Rios/Marquez after Pacquiao. But not surprised after Marquez still being dangerous.I don't think Gamboa beats Rios fpr the moment. He's too big with a punch, never the less technically speaking they're weight classes apart.Especially on fight night.

Anyone will look good with brass knuckles under their gloves, and from 08 up to now is the only time that bum's career even mattered.
As soon as he got the fights that meant anything given to him, he got KTFO and brutally punished. Margarito is trash, I always said his only highlight would be the first Cotto fight, and even that don't matter anymore.

            2 different styles clashing...

This is going to be similar to Pacquiao-Margarito or Calzaghe-Lacy without the complete uncompetitiveness.

No disrespect to Rios, who is better than Lacy and the version of Margarito that Pacquiao fought and Rios (unlike them) is going to make it competitive and win a couple of rounds, but Gamboa is going to put his face through the grinder and possibly stop him (depends if Gamboa goes to the body). Gamboa's going to bruise, batter, and possibly cut Rios' face.

Rios is going to push the pace and Gamboa is going to oblige by letting his hands go. The difference in speed is going to allow Gamboa to attack and retreat without incurring damage. And unlike Acosta, Gamboa can be the ring general without expending the amount of energy Acosta and his constant foot movement had to.

Rios is Gamboa's coming out party.

Would love to see this fight. IDK, shades of Gomez v. Sanchez maybe, with a different outcome though. I think Gamboa can get a UD if he can stick and move effectively. This would be an exciting fight.

And for the record, I like Rios. Just an unbias opinion here.

                    lol what?

not only do the styles not match in the least (tito was a TNT boxer/puncher. gamboa fight in flurries and uses lateral movement.)

the size doesn make any sense

tito was a WW turned jr MW at the time for more than a year
and he later went on to knock out a legit MW in joppy

vargas was thicker, but he was not an outright bigger man
                    or bigger puncher

First mention of this fight didn't really care for it too big of a weight difference but the more it grows in momentum the more intriguing it becomes but all could be for not if Rios can't make the weight and be close to affective he looked awful against Murray and Yuri hasn't fought above Feather in a while Gamboa dec or Rios mid -late round TKO only way it would go
