Oh that's right he pays it tO himself. Meaning he only made $20 mil from that fight.

According to Forbes, Floyd wasn't in the top 50 earners in sports last year. He made less than $20 mil in the year.
Were you born ****** or did you become ****** after you became a Pacquaio fan? Do you have any idea where Forbes gets the information that they put in their stories about the richest people list? They get their information from public records and published media reports. They will read a report on the internet about Arum paying Pacquaio $20 for the Marquez fight and they accept it as truth without verifying the facts.

Forbes doesn't have any clue how much money Mayweather actually made last year just as they don't have any clue how much money Pacquaio actually made or any other athlete for that matter. They estimate their numbers based on published reports that sometimes have false or misleading information. You don't have a fuc.king clue how much Mayweather made off of the Marquez fight. However, like the typical Pac worshipper, you open your mouth, insert your foot and then justify it by pretending like it is no big deal or you actually don't have the heel of a shoe stuck in your throat.

But for the sole purposes of financial keyboard warrior types especially when it comes to the money part of boxing, a ***** delicacy, *****s used that as gospel talking point when it comes to saying how much more money floyd makes than pac. Just look at these two floids infested *****s for example:

God, makes you wish for the days of horus. In conclusion, this article just once again proves how pretentious and IGNORANT floyd fans are when they act like some whiz financial guru on boxingscene when they talk in absolutes about how little pac makes and how much more floyd does.
You make far too much sense for these guys to absorb.

Right. So if Forbes, with paid researchers and intelligent men running the company, cannot find accurate totals for fighters; what makes you think YOU know how much Pacquiao makes?

PBF fans are so ****** that they don't even realize when they are arguing against their own points...

Floyd made $40 mil vs Mosley. Floyd vs Cotto will sell more than that fight. He could potentially make $45-$50 mil fighting Miguel.

The reason 50/50 isn't as simple as it seems is that on one side you have a traditional Promoter and on the other side you have a fighter that hires a Promoter. According to the recent New York Times article that came out before the Mayweather Ortiz fight, Floyd is the one that's covering all the expenses. "But, under this model, the expenses are Mayweather expenses, too, including advertising (radio spots, print ads, TV commercials), publicity (press tours, news conferences), sanctioning fees, legal contracts and insurance. For a fight of this magnitude, Schaefer said the expenses would run about $10 million. " from the Article. I think it's safe to say that it's going to be very hard to give up that financial freedom, and give it up to Bob Arum of all people. I feel that in order for this fight to happen, Mayweather should give Pacquiao a guarantee that would be close to what he would get under a 50/50 split. Mayweather obviously low-balled Pacquiao with that $40m offer, but it seems to be the step in right direction. The goal seems to be to give Pac as much money and at the same time not give Arum as much. Arum himself only gave Pacquiao $5 million from the revenue generated from the last fight with Marquez.

                      You guys don't get it.

It's not the guarantee, it's the write-offs. Floyd and Arum both want to control the promotions so that they can control the write-offs for tax purposes.

Who ever controls the promotions gets to pay family, friends and hangeroners and then deduct those costs from the gross receipts.

It's a great saving for Floyd because he has such a large entourage and those people are on the payroll already. It's serious money as promotional costs in this fight could reach $20 million. As they say in the promotion business, you can either pay your uncle or pay Uncle Sam.
