Since his loss to journeyman Jose Beranza this once highly touted/hyped prospect has fought only ONCE in almost THREE years, UN-impressive 4 round win 2 years ago. That doesn't sound like a fighter that is always in shape and "ready to go", as they claim. He's wasted very valuable time, just as his undefeated (13-0) brother, Carlos Ivan, who also hasn't fought in quite some time. Dedicated? hmmm... From what I understand/heard they lost their focus and determination and got caught up too many distractions. Let's hope for the best.

It was suppose to be his brother Carlos Ivan. That kid was something special. Juan Carlos not so much. He was going to quit against Beranza. I hope Carlos Ivan heal and come back. If he was talented enough to beat Gamboa in the amateurs, he just need the right mind set to do it in the pros.

I have no interest in this guy - what I want to know is what happened to his brother??? Now THAT is what I call talent.

about time we get some news from one of the two. I've been asking him (Juan Carlos) for over a yr now about when they both were going to fight again and all and he told me soon. Its about time! Both of these two kids are humble kids and I truly wish em both the best. Hopefully Carlos Ivan gets in there soon too!!! Too much talent there!
