Former IBF welterweight champion Jan Zaveck (31-2, 18 KOs) is currently training in his hometown of Ptuj in Slovenia. In the next couple will of weeks, Zaveck will start the serious stage of his camp and shift his camp to Magdeburg, Germany - where Zaveck will train with his coach Dirk Dzemski in the SES Boxing gym. Zaveck will not head over to the UK to spar with Kell Brook, as reported elsewhere. The next scheduled fight for the former champ is possibly going to happen in March. Zaveck was last seen in the ring last September, when he was stopped in the fifth round by Andre Berto. Zaveck could not continue after being unable to see outside of his right eye.
