Plenty of fighters have quit for much less. There is absolutely no reason I can see for Glenn to take the kind of criticism you're giving.

It's messed up.Nonito turned his back on his FAMILY.But it's all good. Snr's the head trainer of Kennel Boxing Gym at San Leandro, California. I hope he continues to train Jundy Maraon. I was impressed of his work Maraon.

I don't know what exactly happened between Nonito and his family, so I can't say who's right and who's wrong, or who turned his back on whom. Maybe it's as simple as Nonito wanting a different training approach? We've all heard of the drawbacks of involving family in business--no one can say who is at fault.

Also, it's been almost two years since he last got in the ring. He should stay active and step up the competition.

Maraon is a raw talent that needs refining. I remember watching his fight one time. He was crude as hell.Then Nonito Snr trained him, he seemed to soak it up.Added finesse to his game, timing, head, body movement and all that.I think Snr is a good fit for him.Seems to learn quick unlike other boxers.

He signed with Gary Shaw so you will see him in the U.S. of A. He can hit but is crude.I think, he should link up with Donaire Snr again.I was liking what I saw with Maraon when Snr was steering the ship.

I like Maraon more than Villanueva who i think is even more crude and lacks refinement.

The long absence was because he had surgery on his hand apparently.

Exactly. I don't understand it, either. I've never seen Glenn put less than full effort into a fight, and I am glad he's back after a long layoff. And I don't think he was ever a full-time boxer--if I remember correctly, he makes his living as a full-time FedEx truck driver.

When Donaire was a free agent last year and Golden Boy and Top Rank were feuding over him, Nonito and Rachel were setting up a fight for Glenn with Top Rank. When Nonito settled up with Top Rank, GBP pulled out of a Glenn fight. The father blamed Rachel. Then after that, Glenn signed with a manager. Rachel texted the father to wish him(referring to Glenn) luck. The father then forwarded the message to another person but made a mistake and sent it to Rachel. With that forward text message, the father also had this: Hi Vinny, I'am forwarding you Nonito Jr.'s wife text messages, and she's a itch and a liar".

I guess they got married last year and his father was not there. The sister also called her and that Nonito's family is not attending the wedding.

That sucks for Nonito. But the Filipino Flash is whip by Rachel. He keeps saying Rachel is the love of my life crap. Rachel got Nonito in control.

Exactly who decided that Nonito should talk to another promoter is unknown to me. But it's unfortunate that Glenn lost a fight date because of politics.

To be fair, there are two sides--or more--to every story. And no one has a monopoly on being right or wrong.

As to whether Nonito is "whipped": maybe Rachel IS the love of his life. What's wrong with that? I wish I can find the love of my life....
