Arum would still get part of the 40mil...Either way the PPV money has always been important to Pac. It's not just something that came out of the blue.

I know the split has always been debated and i was informing people here who were earlier not making any sense. Arum will not get any part of the 40 million guarantee. Im not sure if you remember when i explained to you in another thread that Arum did not want Pacquiao to know he was being robbed and now it has come to light. Pacquiao will be getting a 40million flat fee and do you think if Floyd agreed to do the fight under Top Rank Arum would offer him anything close to 40 million? You can justify Floyd wanting to give him 40 million when Arum has been robbing him and he has never seen that money his whole career.

You still don't get it........yes these fights have risk. Do I think it will generate over 100 mil, yes I do. The thing is manny must decide does he take a GUARANTEE OR assume the RISK that the fight doesn't do as well as is expected.

If the fight generates 100 mil, Bob Arum is NOT paying manny 40 mil. If you believe he would I feel for you. It would have to do near 150 for manny to see that kind of dough.

So take 40 mil with no risk, or run the risk of needing the fight to sell 150 plus to get close to that gauranteed offer.

Khan and Pacquiao are under two different contracts and promotional companies. Everyone knows khan has more say and freedom to who he wants to fight. Arum will get part of that 40mil. Pac is under contract man. So Arum would get a part of it.

If the fight grosses what Floyd is banking on. Yes Pac will not only get the 40mil but then some...Now whether or not Arum chooses to rob bank after Pac gets his share is irrelevant. But, the fight should be at 50/50.

It would be harder to rob Pac with co-promotion at 50/50 then it is to do it while it's in-house. There was not a question of how much Pac got when he fought JMM II, Oscar and Hatton. Those were co-promoted events. It's when he fought Cotto and other in-house fights where the question arose. Since Arum was handling everything But, that won't be the case with 50/50 split and co-promotion.

This is ridiculous. Saying no to 50/50 is just saying no to the fight. Pretty simple.
