Sorry if i didnt make it clear but am referring to if Pac fights on June 9 against whoever Arum has in stock for him, He wouldnt make close to $15M tops, Of course if he and Mayweather fights at 50-50 he can make more than $40M but he still would not even see take home anything bigger than 25M with arum around to manipulate him again.Comment

first of all pac you are a opponent against mayweather. secondly you are not the ppv cow because you and marquez did 1.4 buys. mayweather is the flat out ppv king in numbers generated in the history of boxing. third theres no way he would leave you out of the ppv money. pacquiao stop ducking.Comment

Are you crazy? This is gonna be the highest grossing fight in the HISTORY of boxing. It would be extremely ****** to take a flat fee for a fight that will break revenue records. Can't believe you guys cant see thru this Bull**** Floyd is trying to pull. He trying to rip Pac off something nasty. LOLComment

Hm.. I can see both sides of this.
Pacquaio is an equal star in the sport - so he deserves a deal that reflects it for the sport's biggest fight.
However, the way he's been fleeced by his promoter is not his opponent's fault and makes him look B-side by his earnings. Why do what his promoter should have and give him such a HUGE cut that looks to you as unwarranted, and he's suing you, and you feel like he's used your name to piggyback on your star status?
Keep in mind, you're out performing said Top Rank fighter when it comes to common opponents and you're earning superfight money and ridiculous PPV ratings fighting nobodies, and participating in guaranteed mismatches, while your opponent doesn't.
When I stand back and look at it outside of the competitive aspect of boxing,
it looks like politics to me. Not fear on why this fight isn't done.
It is glaringly obvious that Arum caused the lion share of the trouble.
His thieving and legal influence has hurt Manny at the negotiation table.Last edited by Haglerwins; 01-26-2012, 04:44 AM.Comment

When Oscar fought Trinidad. He chose a flat fee over a split....When the fight broke revenue(records) he didn't get as much money as he would have or deserved if he would have taken the split. So he left money on the table from his side. He was mad about that and pissed at Arum for it...When he made that decision.
This is the same thing here...This very well likely will break all revenue records. This is very likely you can't say it isn't...With the type of numbers both put out there. And, if it does shatter PPV records which Floyd himself is banking on cuz' if he wasn't he wouldn't make this offer. Then Pac would not be getting as much money as he would have or deserve if he sticks to the 50/50 split which he deserves. And, he would leave money from his end on the table.Comment

ok ok, i understand backing your fighter and all that. But once you become their accountant, its border line creepy bro. I dont care if manny made 1 dollar his last fight. It's because of Floyd AND MANNY, that this fight is considered the fight of the century. Look at james toney and the ufc. Because he generated the most buzz for that event, he got paid the most on that card. You think kimbo slice was making millions fighting on the streets? Why do you think he got paid more than any other fighter on those strike force cards? Because he has name recognition, and he's the one thats gonna bring the fans.Comment
