Who would pay to see such an unwarranted rematch?
There was no unfinished business there. Supporting a fight like this enables Pacquiao to avoid real challenges but pretend that he's still sitting at the top.
Smae with Cotto. Cotto should be looking to face Martinez. Instead he's looking backwards because no one would fault him for losing to Pacquiao again because no one really believes that Cotto can beat him.
That way, Cotto makes some money and his reputation doesn't take a huge hit.
I seriously think that some fanboys would pay to watch their favorite fighters shadowbox for 12 rounds. They don't care who their favorites fight. They only care that their favorites are televised and their names are being mentioned.
If you would support this fight, why not a rematch with Hatton?
Yeah .. I thought so.

So you have a past prime fighter, who got annihilated by the last elite fighter he fought, likes to box, and you expect him to beat the best boxer in the world?
I don't see any way Cotto has any real chance. If he won 3 rounds, I'd be shocked.

Cotto should win against Pacquiao, if they fight again. Mayweather beats Cotto though. I'm so glad to hear that Cotto isn't doing catch weights. It makes sense cause Pacquiao is a smaller guy but Cotto doesn't belong anywhere NEAR below 150 anymore.
By the way, Cotto wins because of his new trainer. Not to mention the same strategy that worked on Margarito, could very well be JUST as efficient on Pacquiao.
