Good post here. The only reason why Hopkins even signed for this rematch is because his ego is being questioned from the first fight. These aging fighters don't know when to quit! He knew he couldn't do anything with Dawson and that's what we saw in less than six minutes. Dawson had that stalker stature about him like he knew that when he hit Hopkins, it was going to hurt. He wasn't playing around in there and it'll be worse this time. He'll start faster and not waste anytime stalking. If he does that, Hopkins is going down! This fight is about money. He is almost 50 years old. He doesn't logically stand a chance against this young kid man. All that believe different are clouded by the Hopkins myth. He's always been good at fighting the right fighters. He was forced to fight Dawson the first time and is forced to do it again.

We cant read too much into the first fight as the battle lines hadnt been properly drawn. Look at Hopkins Pascal 1 to see that boxing steeles after the 4th. Dawson is not a naturally aggressive fighter and we saw that. He missed alot and even touched down after a right hand from Hopkins but it wasnt counted. My concern for Hop is that if he doesnt throw with authority because of his shoulder injury.

Good tough fight to call. I picked Hopkins the 1st time but Chad is young, big and strong. If I had to go 1 way I'd go with the old legend due to ringcraft but its one of those fights that will end up a decision for one guy with the other camp protesting.

I don't care if anyone shows up for this fight. I'm anxious to see Hopkins school Dawson, like he did Pavlik, like he did Roy Jones Jr., like he did Pascal, like he did Tarver and Trinidad.... Hopkins is a freak, he's afraid of nobody. To this day, Hopkins could probably beat both Klitschkos and Evander Holyfield.
