Howard Eastman - can we now stop saying...

... "he can't be much good, he lost to Sloppy Joppy". Particularly if you didn't see the Joppy/Eastman fight. Thanks.

Eastman had that fight won, he OWNED Joppy in the second half.

He deserves all of the digs thrown at him though for being such a lethargic ****er for the first 6.

I'm kind of looking forward to seeing how Bernard copes with Eastman's power, the guy can crack a bit. I still see Hopkins UD'ing him though (boring old ****er that he is).

There were only three people in the world who thought Eastman lost that fight and they happened to be judging it.

Eastman looked impressive in the second half of the fight and showed good defense and range. However he SERVERELY lacks ring intelligence as he did NOTHING for the first 6 rounds other than eat Joppy´s punches while pawing weakly with his own punches.

Eastman is Hopkin~s toughest opponent and has a good chance of pulling the upset. Eastman~s range, technique and power will serve him well as Hopkins has NEVER taken on such a rangy and well schooled fighter with power. He can fight from outside, is comparable to Hopkins in size and has enough power to keep Hopkins off of him in difficult situations. I doubt this fight will end in a knockout but there is a pretty good chance something exciting, if not legal, will happen as Hopkin~s dirty fighting and Eastman~s paranoia and short temper may result in some interesting moments.

Obviously it goes without saying that Eastman hasn't mixed in the same circles, but I was surprised today to see his KO ratio is higher than Bernard's. Hopkins has only had about five more pro bouts, but his KO rate is 71% against Eastman's 87.5%.

I still can't understand how Eastman lost when all the rounds I saw he won and he had a 10-8 round.

Much as I love Danny, he hadn't earned his shot at Vitali. But Eastman has been mandatory for ages... plus, whatever happens, he is a competitive match-up.

Since fights don't go to score cards after 6 rounds, it don't matter. He did more than enough to win and I can't remember anyone having Joppy up on their scorecards (other than the bribed obviously) at the end of it.

Big deal, even if he "really won", he still lost to Joppy.
Against Hopkins, its a Vitali vs. Williams type fight.

                  That's a silly statement.

No it isn't, not at all. You're talking rubbish, man. How many Eastman fights have you seen?
