Rigo may not be the most exciting stylistic fighter to watch, but I don't see anyone beating him anytime soon. His hand speed, foot speed, and defense are at such high levels. He also has very good power. Problem he has is he doesn't want to lead, but guys get in the ring with him and feel his power like Ramos did and then get scared and don't come forward. He needs to adjust that a little, or fight guys who want to come forward so he can get some good looking wins and create the demand for the fight with Donaire.

They've been talking about Gamboa moving up to fight Rios at 135 for a little while. Now that the bout with Rocky Martinez has fallen through, it looks like Yuri wants to make the fight with Brandon next.

A lot of truth in your post. My one real concern with Guillermo, right now, is what was really at work during the Cordoba fight. Was Rigo simply reverting to what he knew from his amateur days: i.e., coasting to a points win when up on the cards? Or was "El Chacal" demonstrating his natural reaction to adversity? A true champion must overcome a challenge whenever it presents itself.

Donaire isn't a PPV attraction yet, that's why he would need to sell himself more fighting in an attractive fights just like how the Pacman did it to become the PPV king. Even Mayweather wouldn't want to fight the likes of Pernell W. or would you buy a fight with PBF and Paulie!

I feel Donaire about not wanting to fight Rigoondeaux right now their's no point high risk low reward and not exciting enough yet. I mean the guy has like 9 fights give the cuban some time though.
