Pacquiao and his team are bs artists. Take a short look at the fighters he has faught and tell me how much of a threat they were to him. All were slow flat footed fighters with no defense. De la hoya slow, no power, weight drained, 8 ounce gloves in a 10 ounce division, cotto weight drained, not allowed to rehydrate, no defense, flat footed, margarito: Slow, flat footed, no defense, 8 ounce gloves in a 10 ounce division. Clottey said himself he came to lose. He said it in an interview.

Actually he was forced to take the fight at that weight or lose his belt by the organisation...So yes that basically bullying, And another thing is what cares if he weighed in at 146 in his previous fight? He wasnt forced to..

When a person-a fighter- signs a contract, he is implicitely "forced" to comply with the clauses. He can chose not to, and face penalties.

it sounds a bit unreal that a Boxing organisation would "force" a fighter to make a cut weight or lose his belt. Sounds highly unlikely, although with WBC or any Org. anything is [possible.

The most infamous cut weight fight I can think of (other than a couple of Joe Gans fights a 100 years ago) is the Leonard-Lalonde fight where, TO MAKE THE FIGHT, Lalonde came in at 168,ostensibly strill fighting for his lt.-heavy title as well as the new 168 lb belt.

But that was HIS choice, as he said, also that the purse was too good to refuse and he really needed the money. So I recall. I actually have Lalonde on tape about it .
