Former welterweight champion Jan Zaveck (31-2, 18 KOs) is planning to return in the month of March. Zaveck was last seen in the ring last September, when he was stopped in the fifth round by Andre Berto. Zaveck could not continue after being unable to see outside of his right eye. Zaveck is a master of getting well-known boxers for hard sparring. He plans to travel to the UK, where he is reportedly going to spar with fellow welterweight contender Kell Brook, who comes back on March 17th against Matthew Hatton.

hell yeah, i enjoyed his fight with berto a lot. shame it ended the way it did. hopefully he'll be back in the mix of fighting top names and fighting again here in the US.
