David Haye’s trainer and manager Adam Booth has revealed his continued frustration in trying to deal with the Klitschko brothers and their management as another attempt to make a fight with Vitali has seemingly gone quiet in recent weeks.
Booth, who also trains British and Commonwealth super-middleweight champion George Groves, is awaiting a contract for a possible WBC title challenge for the ‘Hayemaker’ and believes that Vitali can talk a good game without showing his true hand.
"Vitali piped up saying he wants to fight and since then I have had communication with them, but the contract from them has been much less forthcoming than the propaganda Vitali has been spouting," Booth told Sky Sports.
"It's in their hands. As far as I am concerned all the points have been agreed verbally, but subsequently Vitali came out and said the fight was 'miles away' from being made. I don't understand why he would say that. Maybe they are just using David's name just to get some publicity.
"Until they send the contract and until it is signed, I will try not to waste too much time on it because you have to remember, I have negotiated with them four times now and there has only been one fight.
"They probably say the same about us, but they are the hardest people I have ever dealt with," added Booth.
Haye, 31, is currently keeping himself in shape in the hope that the call comes in future and has occupied some of his spare time making several appearances on primetime UK television shows of late, including ‘Who wants to be a Millionaire’ and ‘The Magicians.’
The former WBA title holder will now hope that Vitali, 40, comes through compatriot Dereck Chisora next month in Germany as he hopes to set up another grudge match with the Ukrainian brothers in the summer.
