I know for a FACT that Laila Ali turned down what would have been the biggest purse in Women's Boxing history to fight Ann Wolfe. Laila was scared to death of Wolfe, without question.

Laila saw what Ann Wolfe did to Vanda Ward with one single punch and said "screw you Ann, not me." (To be honest, in all my years in the boxing business, it was THE single most DEVASTATING ONE PUNCH KO that I have EVER witnessed first hand, male OR female.)

We had in fact already gotten a fight sanctioned between Ann Wolfe and a Man, and had just had a Press conf. to announce the fight, which I hosted, then, as fate would have it - Hurricane Katrina hit 3 days later and took out the venue we were planning to have the fight at. Unfortunately, Ann vs Man didn't happen after that.

I have personally seen Ann spar with a male boxer, and he cracked her pretty good with a right on the chin - she smiled and then proceeded to eat his ribs with body shots like they were on the lunch menu, she wore him out for the entire 4 rounds of sparring with the guy.

In her prime, Ann Wolfe was the "Baddest Woman On The Planet" period.

you're not kidding. I showed a couple friends that KO on youtube some weeks ago and I told them it's one of the best KO's you'll ever see by anyone, man or woman. Brutal shot

I don't know, I would say Anne Wolfe. But she get KO'ed in 3 rounds by a woman who Laila knocked out twice. But we all know styles make fights, so who knows. Lol yes I boxrec'ed it.

Maybe a bold statement on my part but I think Ann Wolfe would have been even competitive with male contenders. She was that tough.
