    So help me, if HBO....

...makes this Countdown to Hopkins/Taylor II special pro-Taylor, anti-Hopkins, im gonna be sick.
if they're gonna make a half-hour special dedicated to the fight, im all for it, but they damn well better not play favorites. i've got love for Jermaine Taylor, i think he's a very solid fighter, but i better not see anything but interviews with HBO commentators (Merchant, Lampley) talking about Hopkin's personality and not his talent in the ring..

i'm saying this cause i saw a preview for the countdown special and it was nothing but Merchant talking down Hopkins.. don't get me wrong, i know Hopkins isn't a saint, but i don't want them talking about their feelings about fighters "personally" in place of what they're going to do come Dec. 3rd. Can i get an amen?

Larry Merchant hates Hopkins, well before Taylor was an issue, its natural to hear him talk bad about him. I think though it'll be objective like the last one was with negatives and strong points for each fighter or so i hope. I'd guess itll go over the first fight alot more then background tho, as we already know they;re background if we A. followed them as fighters B. watched the first countdown C. read random posts bashing / praising them on the boards. All in all it'll have ups and downs for both.

Although I enjoy Merchant's occasionally funny quips, he does bug me at times. Especially when he never gave any respect to Hagler and Hopkins. What a joke he is with them. I mean they are all-time greats. One would think that he would be a bit nicer with them.

Leonard knew well enough not to give Hagler a rematch. I eagerly await the second showdown between Hopkins and Taylor. I was at the first fight and I thought that Hopkins busted up Taylor pretty good and I suspect that he is really going to do a number on him in December.

Lol that made me laugh. Although the special wasn't too bad, like I said it wasn't biased towards anyone I didn't think. From what I hear they're both focused and in great shape....as always. This is one of the most anticipated fights of the year, I expect this one to end in stoppage though after the 6th.

Alright, for the last time, what Bernard Hopkins does INSIDE the ring is all that should be discussed, what he does in his personal life has nothing to do with boxing. Don't make me say it again. Plus, its obvious that you, personally, don't like him, so there's no justification to your comment.
