If you're talking about embracing culture viloria has lived in the philippines longer than glen and nonito donaire combined. But donaire is more embraced.
Like i said representing a country infront of millions of people says alot. Specially at the olimpics where it is about pride to represent your country your culture and your people.

ok i get what youre sayin....so who do you think will have a better resume between cotto and canelo when everything is done?...

This will be the last time i explain it to your ******ed ass so pay attention. You are just proving my point that you guys only have had two fighters who are any good for the last or more ten years that is nothing to be proud off. And that is like saying panana is better than mexico bc duran came from there. Mexico has produced many great fighters and will keep doing every single generation not just one every here and there

The Philippines for now has mediocre trainers but it's a highly populated country. Someone is bound to be bad ass in a country of 94 million people. Anyone who thinks that pac and nonito is the last that boxing will hear from the Philippines is ******ed.

Melindo would outbox Hernan Marquez the same way Richie did. Nietes barely beat Garcia but I think he would school Solis and Hernandez. Cuello > Garcia and Fuentes. Froilan Saludar will continue smashing cats at flyweight.

I give Genesis Servania another two years before he starts schooling fighters at super bantamweight like Victor Terrazas.
Yeah, man. Seems to be the only thing missing is trainers, conditioning coaches, nutritionist wink wink secret milk shakes and supplements. Stamina and durability is the main problem.Pinoy can drop Mexicans but can't keep them down.

Pinoys have two great fighters and I expect more to come. Mexico will continue to be a world power of boxing. Canelo is a hype job waiting to be exposed. Miguel Vazquez even though he lost to Canelo is a slick fighter that I think will end up being lightweight king.

Brandon Rios, and Victor Ortiz are Americans claimed by Mexicans here. Jose Benavidez is a future superstar. The next great Mexican fighter will be American. Viloria counts as Pinoy champion.

Yeah, two of the best fighters around. If that isn't something to be proud about then I don't know what is! Quit being bitter that "your" country isn't at the top anymore or considered the best right now.

Yea he is a great fighter just like nonito. Still got schooled by marquez even though he made him move up two divisions. And yea the US is number one no one can deny that mexico a close second and every one else is a far far third.
