Comments Thread For: Arthur Abraham Wants One More Fight, Then Stieglitz Shot

Super middlerweight contender Arthur Abraham (33-3, 27KOs) has his eyes fixated on the WBO title held by Robert Stieglitz (41-2, 23KOs). Stieglitz is still booked to face former champion Mikkel Kessler in April, but rumors continue to swirl that Abraham may beat the Danish star in the championship race.

It's still a good domestic fight, even if Stieglitz looses his belt in April.
AA might not have the combination of skills, speed and size to be part of top 5 in SMW, but i think he's still top 10. He could make good fights against some of the better European fighters.

If Kessler fights Stieglitz, he will most likely win. So instead of Stieglitz AA might end up fighting Kessler?

Kesslers got a rematch with Ward lined up. If that falls through then he will go for Steiglitz. Arthur will hang about see what happens and if he gets the opportunity he'll go for one of the weaker champions. As weve already seen he isnt competetaive with the elite of the division.

Elite supermiddles are Ward, Bute, Kessler, Froch and Dirrel. Probably in that order.

Good match either way it pans out. Stieglitz Kessler will tell it all!

Good idea for AA to have at least one more fight before stepping up. He looked average against Farias.

Stieglitz would be a good fight to aim for as would Balszay or Magee if Stieglitz loses to Kessler.
