    Why doesn't Floyd..........?

Why doesn't Floyd fight canelo He's a much more tougher opponent then the names being tossed around for Floyd I mean come on now we all know the paquiao fight isn't happening on may 5th, plus canelo would bring the most money besides the paquiao fight isn't that what Floyd's all about ? Why does he care if canelo isn't expierence enough it'll be a easy win over a big star fighter if floyd really thought canelo isn't good enough he would be more interested in it I feel like he's doging canelo he'd be more of a challenge then victor Ortiz that's for sure!

      I still think we'll see Pacquiao-Cotto I at 147 and Mayweather-Alvarez at 154.

Yes, Canelo is a good fighter, but he hasn't had a signature win or done all that much to really put his name out there for a Floyd fight. That's why I rate Floyd fighting Canelo at 154 RIGHT NOW a C+ or B- at the best. Ortiz was a solid B choice. Ortiz was coming off 5 straight wins (1 over previously unbeaten Berto) and a draw he should have won over Peterson (which now looks pretty good). Ortiz beating Berto is FAR GREATER than anything Alvarez has done so far. Canelo's best win is still a past prime Cintron, but he did look pretty damn solid in that fight.

I want Floyd to fight Alvarez before he retires, but I'd like it to be after Alvarez fought and beat someone like Cotto or Kirkland at 154 first. Last year, Canelo really could have put his name out there if he'd beaten people like Angulo and Mrtirosyan, as well as Rhodes and Cintron. Than, I would say that Canelo is a great selection for an opponent.

I think Floyd wants to fight Canelo when he has really established himself as one of the top guys, and Canelo can do that by beating Cotto or Kirkland.

What I really wish would happen is that Cotto vs. Alvarez was put together and signed, because than Floyd would have pretty much no one left (besides the Berto-Ortiz II winner), and Manny would lose the guy he wants to fight besides Floyd. Thatw ould probably guarantee Mayweather-Pacquiao going down on May 5th.

why da **** are yo surprised? You do know you are talking about floyd right?

This is the same floyd who has never fought a hall of fame fighter in their prime right?

This is the same fighter when IT WAS TIME TO FIGHT HIS FIRST HALL OF FAME FIGHTER IN THEIR PRIME he started throwing road blocks like asking for a steroid test never done before in the history of professional prize fighting against a fighter with zero evidence of steroid use when he didnt ask his previous 40 opponents.

Then when they got that problem fixed he finds another way not to make that fight happen by not giving a 50-50 share.

This is the same scumbag who retired after beating a career 140 pounder ricky hatton when the welterweight division (the division he was fighting in) was the best and most loaded division with prime margarito, prime cotto, prime paul williams, younger shane mosley just to name a few.

There's a common denominator to these fights not happening:

Because Canelo makes more sense down the road, it could work now but really for everyone involved it is better to let that fight get a bit more ripe.

It has been talked about for a bit now but really Canelo needs to just make people believe in him a bit more to really sell that fight, one or two wins should do that depending on the quality.

I know i shouldn't respond to anyone who thinks mararito, cotto, or mosley, are fighters Floyd ducked, but i'm gonna do it anyway..... When Floyd beats Canelo he won't get credit because even though Canelo is big, strong, young, and has huge following, They will say he was inexperienced so the win means nothing. I would go in on you just for believing the "hall of fame Manny" charade but for what?!..........
