Comments Thread For: Mundine Open, Willing To Face Daniel Geale in a Rematch

WBA interim-junior middleweight champion Anthony Mundine (43-4, 25KOs) is willing to rematch Daniel Geale (26-1, 15KOs), the IBF's champion at middleweight. They fought in 2009, and Mundine pulled off a controversial twelve round split decision to win the IBO's middleweight title. Six months later, Mundine vacated the belt when the IBO ordered a rematch. Geale defends his title against Osumana Adama at the Derwent Entertainment Centre on March 7.

Hope it happens. Would be a HUGE fight for Oz & I am 99% certain that Geale would put the record straight.

      Typical Mundine.

Nothing against Geale, I like him a lot, but Mundine beating him wouldn't shock the world. Beating someone like Cotto might.

I would have Geal favourite going into this fight.

It would be a big fight in OZ, so I hope it happens and Geale beats him.

Haha, I hope this fight doesn't happen. Geale should move on to bigger and better things and stay away from Mundine, the most terribly hyped boxer in history.

Mundine knows no one will fight him and that more Australians are buying his PPV's. He needs a hook to get back in the scene.

Mundine shouldn't waste his time on Geale he's been there and done that, he needs to fight overseas talent to silence the critics. Geale needs to show he's a worthy world champ and beat someone better than Sylvester who was owned by Proksa and has slipped out of the top 25.
