What's funny is how Floyd trashed these guys in the build up to the fight and handed them an a55whooping in the ring and they STILL pick him to beat Manny. Marquez, Hatton, De La Hoya all pick Floyd over Manny and *******s can only come back with "They're butthurt." You have three different guys and all have the same opinion so I doubt its pure hate.Comment

He also discredited Pacquiao's KO of the year on him by stating that he was pretty much done when he got stretched. This is after he beat Malinaggi impressively and he was a changed fighter. I don't care what he says publicly, he was embarassed by Pacquiao in two rounds and won't ever truly give him credit. Even in interviews after that fight he held on to that fraction of round 2 where it was mildly competitive acting as if he could have done something to avoid getting blasted. I also never stated that Pacquiao would "Hatton" FMJr. I said that unless he has really trains for the fight, that he won't be competitive.Comment

Gosh I'm so sick of real fighters who have spent their entire lives in this sport telling me, a guy who's never stepped into a ring, that Pacquiao will lose. (Insert sarcasm).
Sadly it's gotten to the point where I'd almost like to see Pacquiao get Gatti'd just because no matter what happens people will discredit the win saying Pacquaio was overhyped, shot, had to many distractions, doesn't have the hunger, still hadn't recovered from his cut, was persuaded by the mob to lose, thought he saw the fan man in the sky, wanted a loss to give him the inspiration to write the greatest song ever, ect.Comment

Did he retire or did he fight them before they were exposed? No.
Do any of you read the actual post before replying or did you merely take it out of context? No.
I stated that FMJ trains like a beast, because he still has something to prove whereas Pacquiao's popularity has gone to his head and he's splitting time between TV shows, congress and recording albums while being an icon in a third world country.
It was actually a compliment to FMJr in saying that he doesn't ALLOW the distractions to have any effect on his training and he doesn't dictate to anyone that he doesn't feel like training or blow training off like Pacquiao has done in past camps.
I'm not choosing a side.

Ricky Hatton's depression after being knocked out by Manny Pacquiao almost drove him to suicide, the boxer reveals.
Ricky Hatton considered suicide after defeat by Manny Pacquiao
Hatton won 45 of his 47 fights during a 12-year career
Ricky Hatton says depression almost drove him to suicide after he was knocked out by Manny Pacquiao in 2009.
In an exclusive interview on BBC Radio 5 live, Hatton explained how his life spiralled out of control in a battle with drink and drugs.
The former world champion confirmed his retirement in July and now runs a successful promoting business.
But he said: "I was so down, I was crying and breaking out and contemplating suicide."
Hatton lost to Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas in May 2009 with a brutal second-round knockout.
He said: "I was going deeper and deeper into depression.
"I was getting depressed. I was going out and having a few drinks. The worst thing you can do with depression is add alcohol to it.
"I needed something to get my backside into gear and pull my finger out. Sometimes you have to hit rock bottom to think, 'Blimey Ricky, get a grip'.
"Depression is a serious thing and, after my defeat to Manny Pacquiao, I contemplated retirement and didn't cope with it very well."
The former boxer's predicament was exposed in a newspaper sting where he was shown taking *******.
Hatton added: "For someone in my position taking drugs once is nothing short of disgraceful.
"The reason behind my actions and the way I was behaving wasn't a drink or drugs thing, it was depression. I was so down, I was crying and breaking out and contemplating suicide.
"Half the things I was doing I didn't even read about in the paper. I can't even remember the night it happened - that's what depression does to you.
"I was having blackouts, days on end whether I was drinking or not when I couldn't remember what had happened in my life.
"I thank the News of the World because who knows where it could have ended up.
"A lot of people say, 'I've tried committing suicide' - but there's saying it and doing it and it was coming on a regular basis.
"Being a proud man and a warrior, to get splattered in two rounds like I did, was really hard to come to terms with.
"When I tried to get back into training, I realised the hunger was gone and my career was over.
"Everything got on top of me and it was a really horrible time in my life. I would go out, have a few drinks, start sulking and start feeling sorry for myself.
"I kept coming home and crying to my girlfriend saying, 'I want to end it, I don't want to live'.
"Depression is a very serious thing. People don't realise how deadly it can be."Last edited by Dale Cardon; 01-22-2012, 07:25 PM.Comment

I agree, the concept is moronic.
Margarito was never a top fighter, and never even close to Mayweather's level.
It would have been Baldomir part II.
People who insist that Mayweather ducked Margarito are complete ****heads.Comment
