Comments Thread For: David Price Destroys John McDermott in One Easy Round

Olympia, Liverpool - David Price (12-0, 10KOs) knocked out John McDermott (26-8, 17KOs) in a very quick first round to win the vacant English title, and also earns the mandatory right to face British champion Tyson Fury. Within seconds of the first round, Price dropped McDermott with a combination. Price attacked him and dropped him hard for a second knockdown. He got up, with his legs gone, and once again a two-punch combination dropped McDermott for the third time - for the full count.

Probably one of the funnier fights I have watched. McDermott looked completely out classed.

Another quick blowout for Price. That's 5 first round ko's in his last 9 bouts - although Big John was in terrible shape. Want to see him in a bit more of a test now. I'd pick him over Tyson Fury based on their last couple of bouts.

          Holy shizzle!

I thought Price would stop and drop John but not in 1 round.

I like Fury. He's comical but David is the real deal with the British Heavyweight scene.

Price will beat Fury. He's a much smarter fighter and better coordinated.
